Fall/Halloween RoundUp 2019

 

Ghosts and Goblins, you are invited to Halloween in Bluff Park. Several Bluff Park Churches are hosting Fall/Halloween events and on Halloween night we have some of the best trick-or-treating spots. Did we miss an event or a cool house to trick-or-treat? Comment and we will add it.

Bluff Park Community Church Fall Gathering
Date: October 19
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Location: Bluff Park Community Church – 2269 Chapel Road (Old Chapel in the Pines Church)

About: Bluff Park Community Church annual fall gathering. There will be pumpkin painting, games, hotdogs, and even a bounce house, but above all – time and space to fellowship with one another and our neighbors!

 

 

 

Bluff Park Witches Ride
Date: Sunday, October 20
Time: 3:30pm
Location: Witches take off at the park by Shades Cliff Pool (at the corner of Cloudland and Savoy).

About: The Bluff Park Witches Ride is benefitting the United Ability of Greater Birmingham this year. Sign up to ride or come out to enjoy the fun. The event is family- friendly with food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, music and the gathering of witches. 

Who can ride: Women, 18 and older, can register to ride/fly on their bikes through Bluff Park throwing candy to the onlooking kids along the path..

The cost to ride is $25. Visit the event page to register.   Event is FREE to attend. Bluffparkal will be streaming on Facebook Live at the event.

 

 

 

Bluff Park United Methodist Church Halloween Carnival
Date
: Wednesday, October 23
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Bluff Park United Methodist Church, Valley Street. 

About: This annual Halloween Carnival is for all ages. There will be games, prizes, a haunted house, pumpkin painting, cake walk, food and a DUNK TANK to raise money for Neverthirst. Come in costume and celebrate with your friends and neighbors. Carnival-wide passes are available for $8 each for kids – price includes the Dunk Tank. Free access and food for all parents. All proceeds support the children’s ministry at the church.

Just for Preschoolers: This year the event features a special Preschool-Only Zone where little ones can have fun in a space geared toward them. 

 

 

 

Hoover Hayride (City of Hoover sponsored event)

Date: Thursday, October 24
Time:5pm-8pm
Location: Veterans Park, Valleydale Road

About: The Hoover Hayride & Family Night is an annual family-friendly event held in October that includes hayrides around the park and a large exhibitor pavilion where children can gather treats throughout the night.

 


Shades Crest Baptist Church Crest Fest

Date: Sunday, October 27
Time: 4pm-6pm
Location: Shades Crest Baptist Church, Park Avenue.

Halloween Night

Thursday, October 31

Halloween in Bluff Park Acres
Time: non specific – 10:00pm
Location: Bluff Park Acres Subdivision. Farley Road, Farley Terrace, Farley Place, Jamestown etc.

About: Come Trick-or-Treat the subdivision of Bluff Park Acres and visit The Mystic and friends.

 

 

Trick Or Treat Trail
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Streets around the Park at Shades Cliff Pool.
About: 3rd annual Trick or Treat Trail! The ‘trail’ includes Savoy St, Hawksbury Lane, Rockview Lane and Cloudland Drive. (If you have littles, it’s easy to just do one street and get back to your car.) Houses participating will have orange bows out front and their lights on. Hoover Police Department to help with traffic.

 

 

Trick or Treat Park Avenue
Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Park Avenue, Bluff Park.

About: Participating homes have orange bows. Hoover Police Department to help with traffic.
