You don’t have to look far to find great activities for you and the kids this Summer. We have assembled a list of Vacation Bible Schools hosted by Buff Park churches and a list of classes, camps, and other great opportunities to fill your Summer with fun.
Vacation Bible School 2019
Shades Crest Baptist Church
Theme: Are you ready for a wild adventure this summer? Throw on your camera strap, buckle your seatbelt, and get ready for VBS 2019 at Shades Crest Baptist Chruch. Each day children will have the opportunity for an amazing encounter with Jesus as we search the scriptures for what God has to teach us.
Ages: All children who have completed 4K through 6th grade.

Mason Music Camps

Camp For Beginners

Ages: 6-9
For students who have little or no experience with music and may be wondering which instrument is right for them, Mason Music offers a half-day music camp in the summer that allows each student the opportunity to learn how to sing and play instruments like the guitar, piano, drums and violin. Each student will spend time with a teacher in small groups working and learning the basics of these instruments. There are also larger group activities and games that will involve the whole camp. The goal of this camp is to allow students to explore their interest on several instruments and learn general music concepts like pitch and rhythm. Register here
Princess and Pirate Preschool Camp

Ahoy! It’s time to jump aboard and get ready to have a royally good time learning songs and special activities designed to teach your (potty-trained) 3-5 year old little princesses and pirates a whole new world about music. Tweens and Teens Art Journaling Camp
Date: July 8-12
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Ages 11+
Art Journaling is a great way to express yourself using art and/or words. In this fun camp we will work in a journal and learn a lot of background, collage and lettering techniques for the tweens and teens to use to express themselves! Of course we will add bling! and characters! They receive a lot of supplies so they can continue after the camp is over! $375 includes all supplies. Class size is limited to no more six. The small class allows for individual attention and creates a good environment for those who like smaller groups.
Adult Art Journal Techniques I
Date: June 24-28 and July 15 – 19
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Ages: Adults
This is the fifth year I’ve taught Art Journal Camps, so there have been a lot of different techniques. In this camp, we will explore many of those techniques including paper marbling, image transfer, using a gel press, distressing paper, and much much more! At the end of the week you will learn how to sew your pages together! $375 includes all supplies. Class size is limited to 8 people.
Adult Art Journal Techniques II
Dates: July 22-26
Time: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Ages: Adults
This Art Journal Camp focuses on new products and techniques such as Distress Oxide Sprays, Dylusion Sprays, Colour Bursts, metal leaf and more! $375 includes all supplies. Class size is limited to 8 people.
